Speaking on his X post, Singh clarified, 'I praise the RSS, not Prime Minister Narendra Modi,' adding that he remains a 'ghor virodhi' (staunch opponent) of their ideology. He emphasised the need for decentralisation within the Congress party, a point he reportedly raised during the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting. The controversy erupted after Singh highlighted how grassroots workers in the BJP-RSS ecosystem can rise to top posts.
