Delhi boils: IMD issues red alert as temperatures soar to 45°C

Delhi is experiencing an intense heat wave with temperatures reaching 45°C, prompting the IMD to issue a red alert for the next two days. The government is considering banning air conditioners set below 20°C to reduce power consumption and protect public health. Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced plans for a standardized AC temperature range of 20-28°C for buildings and vehicles.
