Decisive action has been taken in line with WHO recommendations: Dr David Nabarro on India's lockdown

In an exclusive interview with India Today, Dr David Nabarro, WHO special envoy for Covid-19, talked about coronavirus crisis in India, the 21-day lockdown, govt's response and how it could be handled more efficiently.

Talking about Indian govt's lockdown, Dr David Nabarro said, "The transmission in India is at much earlier stage than in it's in Europe and the US. I think it's great that decisive action has been taken in line with the recommendations of WHO by the govt and people of India. But, I do want to stress that you to have lockdown as well and a very good community-level public health service, you also have to protect you health workers as much as possible"
