Dalit couple beating case: Guna DM, SP removed, probe ordered

An inquiry has been ordered after a Dalit couple in Madhya Pradesh's Guna tried to end their lives, by consuming pesticides in front of a police team.

The incident took place after cops assaulted the couple while the local administration was trying to remove encroachments on government land.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has removed the Collector and Superintendent of Police of Guna after a video of the incident went viral.
