Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge chaired a crucial CWC meeting in New Delhi today, launching a scathing attack on the Centreâs new âVB-G RAM Gâ Act which replaces MGNREGA. Kharge termed the abolition of the rural employment scheme an âinsult to Gandhijiâ and alleged that citizensâ rights are facing a âgrave crisisâ. The Congress chief also condemned the reported lynching of Hindus in Bangladesh, seeking government intervention. Additionally, he hailed the recent Rouse Avenue Court order in the National Herald case as a vindication against the âmisuse of agenciesâ like the CBI and ED. The meeting also discussed the party's strategy for the upcoming assembly elections.
