CWC Meet: Kharge Slams Centre Over New 'VB-G RAM G' Law, Condemns Attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge chaired a crucial CWC meeting in New Delhi today, launching a scathing attack on the Centre’s new ‘VB-G RAM G’ Act which replaces MGNREGA. Kharge termed the abolition of the rural employment scheme an ‘insult to Gandhiji’ and alleged that citizens’ rights are facing a ‘grave crisis’. The Congress chief also condemned the reported lynching of Hindus in Bangladesh, seeking government intervention. Additionally, he hailed the recent Rouse Avenue Court order in the National Herald case as a vindication against the ‘misuse of agencies’ like the CBI and ED. The meeting also discussed the party's strategy for the upcoming assembly elections.
