Covid-19: Mucormycosis or black fungus cases reported in several states of India

Mucormycosis or black fungus is a rare fungal infection which is being reported in covid recovered patients in various states in India. It is a serious infection caused by a group of molds or fungi called mucormycetes. These molds live throughout the environment. It most commonly affects the sinuses or the lungs after inhaling fungal spores from the air. The black fungus infection is leading to fatalities in recovered patients. Watch the video.
