Congress leader Kirti Azad accepts he benefited from booth capturing in 1999

Congress leader Kirti Azad has dropped a bombshell and accepted that he and his father benefitted from poll booth capturing in Bihar. Speaking at a public event in Bihar, he said in 1999 poll booths were looted for him. Kirti Azad had recently joined Congress after severing ties with the BJP. He is a former Indian cricketer. Kirit Azad said looting polling booths was common practice in Bihar and some Congress leader back then also benefitted from it.
