Clashes in Aligarh, Unnao, Kanpur not linked with Jai Shri Ram chants: UP DGP OP Singh

Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) OP Singh on Thursday said that the alleged incidents of communal violence in Kanpur, Aligarh and Unnao had nothing to do with chanting Jai Shri Ram.

The top cop said that the all three incidents were cases of personal animosity. In Unnao, the fight was over a cricket match, in Aligarh the youth did not want to be sent to a madrasa which led to an altercation on a train and in Kanpur the dispute was about a bike.
