Chennai Horror: Physio Intern Drugged, Sexually Assaulted By Senior; Accused Arrested

This report details a horrific sexual assault case from Chennai, where a 22-year-old physiotherapy intern was allegedly targeted by her senior. The accused, Karthikeyan, has been arrested following a police complaint. The incident occurred near Peravalur after the accused allegedly gave the intern a cool drink 'laced with the very drug, the sedative, and then allegedly sexually assaulted her.' The intern had recently joined a private physiotherapy centre under Karthikeyan to complete her internship. After two patient home visits, the assault took place. The victim, upon regaining consciousness, informed her family, who then filed a complaint with the Kolathur all-woman police, leading to Karthikeyan's arrest on sexual assault charges. An investigation into the harrowing case is currently underway.
