Cyclone Michaung, a severe cyclonic storm, unleashed its fury on Chennai and parts of Andhra Pradesh, causing widespread destruction and chaos.

The drone footage captured the extent of the inundation, showing vehicles submerged and people navigating through waist-deep waters. The visuals provide a stark perspective of the cyclone's impact.

As of December 5, the cyclone had made landfall between Nellore and Kavali in Andhra Pradesh, with wind speeds reaching up to 110 km/h (68 mph). The city's infrastructure was severely impacted, with reports of waterlogged streets, power outages, and disrupted internet services. Chennai airport was forced to close until 11:30 pm due to the adverse weather conditions, and several trains were canceled or diverted.
