Charanjit Singh Channi backs Khalistani sympathiser Amritpal Singh

Former Punjab Chief Minister and Congress MP Charanjit Singh Channi has backed Khalistani sympathiser Amritpal Singh, who is lodged in jail. Speaking in Lok Sabha, Channi said 20 lakh people chose Amritpal as MP, and he is unable to put forward views of his people.

Amritpal Singh was arrested last year along with nine associates under the National Security Act (NSA) after his supporters clashed with police at the Ajnala police station while attempting to free one of his aides.
