Centre to allocate space for Manmohan Singh's memorial

In a late-night development, the Centre agreed to identify space for a memorial dedicated to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh after a row erupted between the BJP and the Congress. The Centre had earlier denied the Congress's request to hold the cremation at a separate memorial site, prompting party leader Jairam Ramesh to describe the decision as a "deliberate insult to India's first Sikh Prime Minister."
