Centre notifies new land laws in J&K, now anyone can buy non-agricultural land

The Centre has paved the way for people from outside Jammu and Kashmir to buy land in the Union territory by amending several laws, over a year after the nullification of Articles 370 and 35A of the Constitution.

Now, anyone can purchase non-agricultural land in Jammu and Kashmir. No domicile or no PRC is required. However, agricultural land can be purchased by only agriculturalists.
