Black day for democracy: Congress leader KC Venugopal on farm bills

The two farm bills, which were passed in Rajya Sabha amid a din, are against the interest of farmers and today will be remembered as a black day for democracy, the Congress said on Sunday.

Congress leader KC Venugopal said, "Today is 'black day' of Parliamentary democracy in India. The way in which anti-farmer law has been taken up in Rajya Sabha today is unacceptable and condemnable. Farmers associations & farmers organisations are on streets, they are fighting for their course."
