Biker dies as tree falls on him amid incessant rains in Karnataka's Udupi

A motorcycle-borne man was killed on Thursday night after a Banyan tree fell on him at Belman in Karnataka's Udupi. The entire incident was caught on surveillance cameras. The victim, Praveen Acharya, was traveling on his motorcycle when the massive Banyan tree came crashing down onto the road. Eyewitnesses reported that the tree, which had been swaying vigorously due to the gusty winds, suddenly uprooted and fell down. The impact was fatal, and despite immediate efforts to rescue him, Praveen succumbed to his injuries when he was en route to the hospital.
