BHU students protest against Muslim professor appointed in Sanskrit faculty

The appointment of a Muslim professor at the Banaras Hindu University's Sanskrit department has triggered a row.

The BHU administration continues to maintain that the appointment of professor Feroz Khan is in accordance with the prescribed norms and there is no question of his removal. However, the students are holding protests opposing a Muslim faculty member.
