Bengaluru riots case: Former mayor Sampath Raj named in chargesheet

The Crime Branch, which is probing the Bengaluru riots case, has named former Bengaluru mayor and Congress leader Sampath Raj in the chargesheet.

Sampath Raj has been named in the preliminary chargesheet filed by the Bengaluru's Central Crime Branch. He was earlier summoned for questioning but he didn't appear citing health reasons.

The Crime Branch has also attached Sampath Raj's medical records in the preliminary 800-page chargesheet.
