Battling corona: Maharashtra govt to grant temporary parole to 50 pc of prisoners

Days after 185 inmates of Arthur Road Central Prison tested positive for corona, Maharashtra government has decided to grant temporary parole to 50 per cent of prisoners across the state.

Out of 35,000 prisoners in state jails, 17,000 are likely to get parole.
