Ayodhya's Record-Breaking Deepotsav: 26 Lakh Diyas Light Up Saryu Ghats.

This special report covers the grand Deepotsav 2025 celebrations in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, where a new Guinness World Record was attempted by lighting over 2.6 million diyas along the ghats of the Saryu river. Addressing the celebrations, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, 'Every diya reminds us that truth can be troubled but never defeated'. The event marks the ninth Deepotsav and the first major Diwali celebration since the consecration of the Ram Mandir, drawing millions of devotees. Preparations involved around 33,000 volunteers arranging the earthen lamps across 56 ghats. The festivities also included a 3D projection mapping show, laser displays, and a drone show to narrate the story of the Ramayana.
