This special report focuses on the Uttar Pradesh government's development of a Ramayana-themed park in Ayodhya to boost spiritual and cultural tourism. The project's stated aim is to give visitors a vivid and spiritual experience of the pivotal moments from the revered Indian epic. Being constructed near Guptar Ghat on the banks of the Saryu river, the park will showcase major episodes from the Ramayana. It will feature life-sized sculptures of key figures including Lord Ram, Hanuman, and a 25-foot-tall statue of Ravan as part of a tableau depicting the epic battle between Lord Ram and Ravan. Another major attraction will be the Ram Darbar, a magnificent installation featuring Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, and Lord Lakshman, all designed to offer an immersive experience of the ancient text.
