'Attempts made to defame Rajasthan': Ashok Gehlot amid uproar over Bhilwara rape

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, on Saturday, said that Rajasthan is a peace-loving state and an attempt is being made to defame it by comparing it with Manipur. Some incidents have happened. Such incidents happen in every state, for example, Madhya Pradesh. But they turn a blind eye when it comes to the BJP-ruled states. The remarks by Gehlot came after a 14-year-old girl was allegedly killed and later burned in a coal furnace in Rajasthan's Bhilwara district on Wednesday. Locals claimed she was gang raped too. Rajasthan police have arrested four people, including the main accused, and also detained a minor in connection with the case.
