Asaduddin Owaisi seeks action against Himanta Sarma over 'point-blank shot' video

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday lodged a complaint at the Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate seeking action against Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma over a now-deleted purported video shared on social media.

Owaisi claimed that the Chief Minister has made repeated statements targeting a specific community through various media platforms to promote enmity between religious groups. The legal action follows a video posted by the official handle of the Assam BJP, which reportedly depicted the Chief Minister using a firearm to target symbolic figures. The complainant alleged that these actions are a deliberate and malicious attempt to outrage religious feelings and prejudice national integration.
