Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal has finally broken his silence on the decision of President Ram Nath Kovind to disqualify 20 MLAs from his party following a recommendation by the Election Commission. Kejriwal said that his party is being hounded for no rhyme or reason.
The MLAs from AAP were disqualified in connection with the Office of Profit row which broke out after the Chief Election Commissioner AK Joti deemed them 'unfit' to serve. Immediately after the approval of the President, the Law Ministry today proceeded to disqualify the MLAs. After the disqualification, now the number of MLAs in Delhi Assembly has reduced to 51 from 70.
