Supreme Court on Tuesday came down hard on lynching incidents. The Court has said that horrendous acts of 'Mobocracy' cannot be tolerated.

It demanded that the centre frame a new law to counter mob violence.

Do we need a law to stop mob lynching? Are laws that we have now ineffective to stop the menace of lynching? Is mobocracy becoming the new normal in the country?
