Angel Chakma Murder: SSP Ajay Singh Rules Out Hate Crime as NHRC Member Priyank Kanoongo Issues Notice

In a shocking development in the Dehradun Angel Chakma murder case, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ajay Singh has stated that 'it is not right to term the incident as racial violence' at this stage. The police investigation reveals the conflict began as a birthday celebration argument, leading to the arrest of five accused, including the son of a Kargil war hero. While the victim's father, Tarun Chakma, has demanded the death penalty, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami confirmed that 'five out of the six murderers have already been arrested' and assured strict action.
