Amid standoff with China, Nimmu-Padam-Darcha road nears completion

Amid the standoff with China, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is almost ready with Nimmu-Padam-Darcha road which will connect Manali to Leh making a hassle-free speedy travel for security forces.

Once completed, the Nimmu-Padam-Darcha road section-a 300-km-long road axis would help give the forces rapid access to Leh. This new all weather road which is 90% ready, will be open in 12 months for year round operation.
