The Allahabad High Court has rejected a petition filed by the Hindu side in the Mathura Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah dispute. The court disallowed application A44, which sought to declare the mosque a disputed structure. The application, filed by Advocate Mahendra Pratap Singh, requested that the term 'disputed structure' be used instead of 'Shahi Idgah mosque' in all further proceedings. The Muslim side's objection to this application was upheld, providing them significant relief. Hearings are ongoing for 18 other petitions filed by the Hindu side. The case relates to the ownership of land and access to the structure, with the Hindu side claiming the land should be part of the Krishna Janmabhoomi temple. An agreement from the 1970s regarding the division of land exists, but questions about ownership persist.
