AAP's MLA dies of gunshot wound in Punjab, family claims he accidentally shot himself

Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Punjab's Ludhiana West constituency Gurpreet Gogi was found dead with bullet injuries late on Friday night. His family members claimed that he accidentally shot himself and sustained bullet injuries to his head, said a top-ranked police official. The 58-year-old legislator was admitted to the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. "He was declared brought dead. The incident happened around 11.30 pm. A probe is underway," the police official said, adding that the official cause of his death will only be determined after autopsy.
