Two student groups, All-India Democratic Students Organisation and All-India Save Education Committee, have objected to the Karnataka govt's decision to add RSS founder KB Hedgewar's speech in Kannada textbooks.
The groups questioned why Hedgewar chapters are being added when freedom fighter Bhagat Singh's portions have allegedly been omitted from Class 10 books.
Meanwhile, Karnataka Education Minister BC Nagesh lashed out at groups' obecjeting to Hedgewar's speech, asking why nobody objected to Tipu Sultan chapters earlier. He added that if anyone has a problem with the inclusion of chapters on Hegdewar, they can approach the govt.
