Key takeaways of the Economic Survey and what to expect from 2018 Budget

Ahead of Modi government's last Budget session on Monday, the prime minister made a brief address to the nation expressing hope to pass the Triple Talaq Bill in the Rajya Sabha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also pointed out the optimism around India in the international market.

The government also presented its Economic Survey.

28 bills are listed for discussion in the Lok Sabha and 39 in the Rajya Sabha for the Budget session. The government will be looking for the opposition's support in presenting its last full budget on February 1.

According to sources, the budget is going to be pro-poor and pro-farmer.
