Days after the deadly stampede in Tamil Nadu's Karur, a blame game has erupted between the TVK and the state's DMK government. The TVK has approached the Madras High Court seeking a CBI probe, alleging the stampede was an orchestrated conspiracy and citing lapses in crowd control. A party representative filing the petition stated, "You cannot have a one man inquiry Commission which will naturally give clean chit to the state government." Meanwhile, actor Vijay faces criticism for not visiting the victims' families. Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin has formed a one-man commission to investigate the tragedy that occurred on 27th September. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited the stampede spot and the injured at a government hospital in Karur on Monday.
