Video: Army chopper rescues 27 people stranded in flood-hit Gurdaspur

The Indian Army is conducting extensive flood relief and rescue operations in parts of Punjab. Visuals from 27th August show a dramatic rescue near the Gurdaspur area where Army Aviation helicopters saved 27 people. The individuals were stranded on a small piece of land surrounded by floodwaters. The operation, undertaken with Advanced Light Helicopters, required extreme skill from the pilots and crew due to difficult terrain and weather. In a separate operation in Madhavpur, the Indian Army also rescued 22 TRPF personnel. The armed forces are working to save the maximum number of people stranded in various locations across the flood-hit regions.
