Punjab flood crisis: Hundreds of villages submerged across the state

Punjab is experiencing severe inundation, with numerous villages affected across several districts. According to government data from August 1 to September 1, Gurdaspur is the most affected with 321 villages impacted. Other significantly affected districts include Kapurthala with 115 villages, Hoshiarpur with 94, and both Mansa and Ferozepur with over 75 villages each. The list of major flood-hit districts also includes Amritsar, Pathankot, Fazilka, Jalandhar, Moga, and Barnala, where 24 villages have been affected. The situation in Punjab and other northern states is being closely monitored as the data, current as of September 1st, may have changed.
