Kanwariyas set out on sacred pilgrimage with Ganga jal for Lord Shiva
Lakhs of devotees, known as Kanwariyas, have begun their barefoot journey from across India to fetch holy water from the Ganges—at sites like Haridwar, Gaumukh, and Gangotri in Uttarakhand. This water is then carried back to hometown temples and offered on Shivlings. The yatra will continue until July 25, culminating with the auspicious 'Shravan Shivratri'.
