The Delhi High Court on Monday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of former IAS trainee Puja Khedkar in the criminal case lodged against her for alleged cheating and wrongly availing OBC and disability quota benefits in the civil services examination.
Rejecting her bail plea, the court remarked, "The tactics used by the petitioner raise several questions. Her actions represent a classic example of fraud that undermines not only a constitutional body but society at large."
The court further observed that "steps taken by the petitioner seem to be part of a larger conspiracy to manipulate the system," and emphasised the need for custodial interrogation to uncover the full extent of the alleged fraud.
