Actor Vijay moves Supreme Court challenging constitutionality of Waqf Act

Actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay has approached the Supreme Court challenging the constitutionality of the Waqf (Amendment) Act 2025. He joins a growing list of prominent figures who have filed petitions against the Act, including AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Congress MPs Mohammad Jawed and Imran Pratapgarhi, AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, Azad Samaj Party chief Chandra Shekhar Azad, and Samajwadi Party MP Zia Ur Rehman Barq.
