Kollam Temple Row in Kerala: RSS, BJP workers booked over Op Sindoor floral carpet

A political controversy has erupted in Kolam, Kerala, after a case was filed against RSS and BJP workers. The issue centres on a floral carpet, laid outside the Parthasarathi temple, which featured an RSS flag and the words 'Operation Sindoor'. Authorities state the FIR was filed for violating a court order and citing previous clashes over flag installations. The BJP has responded sharply, with Kerala chief Rajiv Chandrasekhar calling the FIR shameful. Speaking on India Today, BJP's Tom Vadakkam defended the workers, stating, “You can destroy Angoli. You cannot destroy what is in the hearts of the people.” He argued that if flags of Pakistan can be shown in processions without objection, the flag of a social organisation should not be an issue.
