In a significant development in the Dharmasthala case, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has added new charges against the complainant, known as the 'masked man'. Citing exclusive information, India Today reports that the SIT has invoked sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanitha for perjury, forgery, and the fabrication of evidence. The individual, Chinnaya, had initially claimed to have buried 70 to 80 bodies and presented a skull as evidence. However, after contradictions were found in his statements, the SIT is now investigating these new charges. A key point from the investigation suggests the evidence was falsified, with a source stating, "the SIT has found out that it was a fake evidence that has been produced." The original investigation into the recovery of bodies and unnatural death reports continues.
