In an exclusive interview with India Today, Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra discussed the political turmoil within the state's ruling Congress party. He said the escalating power tussle between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has led to a complete collapse of administration and governance.
Vijayendra further added, "The way there is an increase in infighting day by day within the ruling Congress government, I will not be surprised if there is a vertical split within the Congress government." Vijayendra also stated that the BJP, as a responsible opposition, is monitoring the situation and has not ruled out moving a no-confidence motion, a decision that will be taken after consulting with the party's senior leadership ahead of the upcoming assembly session.
