Incessant rainfall for over 24 hours has led to a severe flood situation in the Jammu region. The Tawi river in Jammu city has breached its banks, with floodwaters inundating low-lying residential areas. This has caused panic amongst residents, with many seen leaving their homes for safer locations. A cloudburst in the Doda district has resulted in massive damage to houses. The administration is monitoring the situation, with a reporter on the ground stating, "The situation is getting grim minute by minute." Police and local administration teams are on the ground, and rescue operations are underway for those stranded. Alerts and helpline numbers were issued in advance. Similar conditions of flooding and water logging are reported in Katua and Samba districts.
