PM Modi inaugurates airport terminal in Purnea

In a significant visit to the poll-bound state of Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the interim terminal building of the new Purnea airport. This marks his ninth visit to the state this year. The Prime Minister is also set to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple development projects valued at approximately ₹36,000 crore. The new airport is located in the Simanchal area, a key business hub, and is expected to boost development. The visit drew criticism from the opposition, with Tejashwi Yadav suggesting the Prime Minister should inspect the condition of the Purnea medical college instead of inaugurating new projects. "He should come and look at the medical college of Purnia, what state it is... instead of coming and inaugurating new projects," was the sentiment expressed.
