Image of the day: Asiatic lion cub chased by car in Gujarat

Asiatic lions are almost on the verge of getting extinct and are rarely spotted by people.

But, in a recently shot video, a car was found to be chasing an Asiatic lion cub until it disappeared into the wild. The video was supposedly shot in Amreli, near Gir forest in Gujarat.

In the video, it was observed that the occupants sitting in the car were trying to kill the rare animal. "Increase the speed... Hit it...

Increase the speed. Shoot it. Shoot it. Won't get such a chance," was heard in the mobile video which was uploaded on a social media platform.

Another man who sounded like the driver denied hitting the Asiatic lion cub was heard in the video. He said, "No, can't hit".
