Two HMPV cases reported in Tamil Nadu, total cases in India rise to 7

Seven cases of Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) have been detected in India, with two each in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, and one in Gujarat. All cases are in children. The virus causes mild cold-like symptoms and has been present globally for years. The government is monitoring the situation and advises precautions but states there is no reason to panic.
