Television actor Akanksha Chamola has responded to online trolling that began soon after her husband Gaurav Khanna won Bigg Boss Season 19. The actor faced criticism over her dance performances at promotional events, but she has now addressed the backlash, stressing that loyalty in a marriage is the bare minimum and that she is simply doing her job as a performer.

The latest backlash came after Akanksha danced with her co-stars Kunwar Amar and Ali Hasan at a promotional event for her upcoming show. The moment followed closely on the heels of another dance video featuring Awez Darbar, which led some social media users to speculate about trouble in her marriage.

Responding to the chatter, Akanksha reshared a video by influencer Jayati Unscripted, who addressed the situation bluntly: “Log apne saare kaam-dhandhe chhod ke Akanksha pe focused hain."

The influencer questioned why Gaurav’s victory had suddenly become a “problem" for Akanksha, noting that nearly every professional move she makes is being analysed and judged. Whether it was dancing with Awez Darbar or performing with her co-stars at a promotional event, each appearance quickly turned into fodder for online debate.

Jayati also pointed to what she described as a clear double standard. When Gaurav appeared in Anupamaa, he performed intimate scenes with co-actors, yet his character or commitment was never questioned. Akanksha, however, is being criticised for simply doing her job.

Her message to viewers was straightforward: “Yeh bhi toh actor hi hain na. Understand that."

Akanksha echoed the sentiment while resharing the clip and captioning it, “This is feminine energy at its peak."

Speaking about relationships and trust during promotions, the actor did not mince words. She emphasised that loyalty is not an extraordinary act but a basic expectation in any marriage. “Being married and not cheating is the basic, guys," she said, adding that faithfulness should never be celebrated as an achievement, but accepted as a given.

On the work front, Akanksha is preparing for the release of her upcoming show Dil Dhokha Aur Desire, which is set to stream exclusively on ShemarooMe from February 12, 2026.
