Backstage Siblings: From living room jams to sold-out shows

What happens when music, family, and a whole lot of heart come together? You get Backstage Siblings—India’s first jamming band, led by the brother-sister duo, Raghav and Prachi. The pair brought their infectious energy and inspiring story to Day 2 of the India Today Conclave Mumbai 2025, in a session titled Music Meets Money: Live Jam Session with Backstage Siblings.

The band’s origin? A simple family living room.

“We've got our dad sitting right here,” Raghav smiled as he pointed to the audience. “It all started at home. He sings, and we just followed in his footsteps. We want to keep our vibe as homely and real as possible—like a true baithak. Sit down, sing, and connect with yourself. That’s where the magic begins.”

Recalling their childhood, Prachi said, “We’ve been singing since we were 10. Our dad used to go for satsangs, and we would tag along. We didn’t always understand everything, but we felt the peace. The energy in the room was so powerful. That feeling—that connection—is what we wanted others to experience too.”

Recounting their first event, Raghav shared, "We had just started out, only 9 months ago. I called 10 of my friends—only 4 showed up. We posted stories just to let people know it was happening.”

Fast forward to today, and the duo is performing to packed venues. “Just last Sunday in Mumbai, we sold 1,500 tickets. It’s been a magical journey. The love and support we’ve received is unbelievable,” he added.
