Suspense looms over actor Mithun Chakraborty's entry to BJP

Speculation is rife over the possibility of actor Mithun Chakraborty joining Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Brigade rally in Kolkata on March 7.

"If he joins, it will be good for both the party and the state. And if he shares the stage with PM Modi, then people of Bengal will be happy," West Bengal BJP vice president Arjun Singh said.

Voting for the 294-member West Bengal Assembly will be held in eight phases beginning March 27 and ending on April 29. The results will be declared on May 2.
