Modi's theatrics won't work in Tamil Nadu: DMK's Dayanidhi Maran

In an exclusive interview with India Today's Consulting Editor Rajdeep Sardesai, DMK's Central Chennai candidate Dayanidhi Maran called PM Modi's Tamil Nadu visits 'drama' and 'theatrics'.

He also downplayed the 'Modi factor', stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's frequent visits to Tamil Nadu would only increase his party's margins. The MP defended his party, the DMK, against accusations of being a 'family Raj' and corruption, and emphasised its commitment to secularism and the Dravidian model of development.
