Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will put up its "best-ever" performance in the Bihar assembly elections this time.
Speaking at Panchayat AajTak, Amit Shah addressed the issue of seat-sharing, NDA's CM face, Rahul Gandhi's Voter Adhikar Yatra, infiltration issue, Tejashwi Yadavâs govt job promise and more. Shah outlined the party's stance on infiltration, stating the agenda to 'detect, delete, deport' illegal immigrants.
Regarding the NDA's leadership, he confirmed Nitish Kumar as Chief Minister, despite the BJP having more MLAs than the JD(U), emphasising the alliance's unity under Kumar's leadership. Shah dismissed the opposition's promise of government jobs as a 'safed jhooth,' questioning its fiscal viability and estimating a cost of twelve lakh crore rupees. He attacked RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, contrasting the NDA's 'double-engine' government's development work with the RJD's tenure, which he termed 'Jungle Raj.'Â
