UP polls: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav to contest from Karhal in Mainpuri district

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav will contest the Assembly election for the first time this year. The Lok Sabha MP from Azamgarh constituency will be fielded from Karhal constituency in Mainpuri district. Currently, Sobaran Singh Yadav of the Samajwadi Party is the Karhal MLA. The SP has won this seat seven times since 1993.
