Why several fisherman in Tamil Nadu are in trouble with Sri Lankan Navy

The Sri Lankan Navy on Friday has arrested at least 54 Indian fishermen -- all from Tamil Nadu -- seized five trawlers for allegedly poaching in the country's territorial waters, an official statement by Sri Lanka Navy said on Thursday.

India Today TV's Akhita Nandagopal travelled to Tamil Nadu's Rameswaram and spoke to fisherman about the issue with Sri Lankan Navy.

"The government tells us not to go fishing in Lankar waters and it is about 12 kms from here. But, there is no way to tell where it begins," the fisherman association head of Rameswaram told India Today TV.
